'Chicago Mike' Michael Sumler, longtime band member of Kool & The Gang, passed away after a traffic crash on May 24, 2025. His style and electric persona combined with his dancing skills were unmistakable as he toured with the Kool & The Gang band while creating top songs such as Celebration and Cherish, Jungle Boogie, and Ladies Night.
