RDOS News: Polly Holliday "Flo" passes at 88

Polly Holliday known as the witted, gum-chomping waitress Flo (Florence Jean Castleberry) has passed away on Sept 9, 2025 at the age of 88.  Polly rocketed to fame for her role on the television show Alice as her famous quick-witted response "Kiss my grits" sent audiences roaring.

Polly was born on July 2, 1937 in Jasper, AL, later making her acting debut on Broadway in the show All Over Town.  She made appearances on television series such as Home Improvement, Homicide: Life on the Streets, The Equalizer, and The Golden Girls as well as movies including the 1976 film All the President's Men, the 1988 film Moon Over Parador, the 1993 film Mrs. Doubtfire, the 1998 film The Parent Trap, and her last film in 2010 Fair Game.
