RDOS News: Little House on the Prairie gets a Netflix Reboot


A 50+ year old classic television series is set to get a reboot on Netflix.  Debuting over 50 years ago in 1974 and airing until 1982, The Little House on the Prairie remains regarded as a true classic.

The once famous Western themed television show was based on the writings of Laura Ingalls Wilder is said to be in the works of a reboot after the show signed off in 1982 after 9 seasons.  Dean Butler, played Laura's husband Almonzo "Manny" Wilder, who has championed the 50th anniversary celebration and fan tours of the original "prairie" complete with façades along with other remaining cast members.

Many fans have taken to the social media outlets and are quite anxious of the reboot while many others are interested in seeing a freshened up version of this American classic.  Allison Arngrim who originally played Nellie Olson, is eager to play her onset mother's character, Mrs. Hariet Olson.
